3. Staying awake for more than 17 hours makes you “drunk”
If you stay awake for more than 17 hours, your productivity will be lower than normal, and your motor skills, attention, and judgment, will act like when you have the level of alcohol in your blood at0.5%. This means that the level of your ability to drive safely is quite low, and you will make less rational decisions regarding your capabilities. Scientist have proven that, in this state, humans are not at all good when it comes to estimating our own sleep-related deterioration. This means that even if you think that sleeping only 4 to 5 hours daily is enough for you to function normally, the facts say that you are wrong.
This actually exists, and it happens to people who have frequent nightmares, or have gone through some traumatic events, or when people are stressed when they don’t have enough time to finish some tasks. The diagnosis of this sleep disorder is called Somniphobia. But, you must have in mind that avoiding sleep always causes problems with physical and mental health, and it can likewise cause depression.
5. Noise disturbs sleep quality
Even while you sleep, your brain registers noises around you. Noises like loud cars on the outside, doors slamming, or loud music in the next room, even if they don’t wake you up, they can compromise the quality of your sleep, especially if your brain registers them in the first hour of your sleep, and in the last two hours.
